The Story
Behind the Cup

Bela Vista Farm

In the world of specialty coffee, Alexandre Emerick is a true strategist and innovator. As a maestro in the art of coffee cultivation, he has transformed Sítio Bela Vista, located in Alto Jequitibá, in the Serra do Caparaó, into an epicenter of coffee excellence. His beans not only won the title of Chilean Roasted Coffee Champion in 2019 by Mandrake Tostaduría, but they are also appreciated in some of the most prestigious coffee shops in the world. Alexandre's coffee is served in iconic places like Cafezal in Milan, voted one of the best independent coffee shops in Europe, and by renowned champions such as David Coelho, three-time Portuguese Barista Champion, and Jonathan Piazarolo, Brazilian Roasting Champion. Additionally, his beans are enjoyed in various roasteries and coffee shops across Europe and Brazil, reinforcing the reputation of quality and exclusivity of his product. By choosing Alexandre Emerick's coffees, you experience the essence of a story of resilience, passion, and commitment to excellence. Each cup is a celebration of the unique flavor that only Caparaó can offer, a reflection of the patience and resilience of a true master in the art of coffee.

São Luiz State Coffee

São Luiz Estate Coffee is the result of a long family tradition in agriculture that began over a century ago in Carmo do Paranaíba, in the heart of the Cerrado Mineiro Region. Ana Cecília, along with her father, Fausto, and her brother, Lúcio, represent the third generation to cultivate this land, keeping alive the passion for coffee cultivation started by her grandfather, Manoel Velloso dos Reis. The coffees of São Luiz Estate Coffee are produced in a unique terroir that combines climate, soil, altitude, and expertise to create coffees of singular identity. The estate, certified by the Cerrado Mineiro Designation of Origin, ensures the traceability and quality of each batch produced, reflecting a commitment to ethics, sustainability, and excellence. With five micro-terroirs, each located at altitudes ranging from 1050 to 1200 meters, São Luiz coffees are carefully processed to guarantee the best flavor profile. The dedication to innovation and continuous improvement is evident, with investments in technology such as drip irrigation and modern post-harvest techniques.

Imperial da Serra Farm

Silmara Emerick represents the fourth generation of a family passionate about coffee. At Sítio Imperial da Serra, located in Alto Jequitibá, Minas Gerais, Silmara cultivates beans that carry her family's tradition and dedication. Since 2001, she has lovingly tended to her coffee plants, and in 2019, she decided to take a bold step by starting the production of specialty coffees. From the very first year, Silmara's coffees were recognized for their exceptional quality, earning positions in various competitions. With great perseverance, she proved that with passion and dedication, it is possible to achieve excellence. Today, her beans are valued for their uniqueness and distinctive flavor profile, a result of the terroir of the Caparaó region. The transition to specialty coffee brought a new purpose to Silmara and her family. Producing these "rare gems" at Sítio Imperial da Serra is not just a business; it is a life mission. Silmara believes that every cup of coffee should tell a story — the story of her land, her family, and the love she dedicates to every stage of production.
